Our Process

From initial consult through to completion, your job will proceed through the following stages:

1. Preliminary Meeting With Your Project Manager

Upon initial acceptance of our quote, a project manager will sit with you to discuss your timetable and possible issues that may arise in your project.

An important part of this is a design review with our dedicated project managers. Most projects we receive are only 70% designed; our in-house project managers know what is needed to bring them up to 100%, plus they’ll ask the questions the builder may not have thought of to ensure your project is installed on site with minimal fuss. This then reduces the risk for issues on site, and ensures the only variations are the ones you ask for!

Our project managers are employed to have a vested interest in your project. They will spend time to understand the critical dates and unique features of your project. We conduct free session with consultants and the builder to flesh out design issues, and conduct strict ITPs to ensure all the questions are asked before the steelwork is made.

This service, which we provide free of charge to our clients, reduces stress on site, and helps us to ensure you’re 100% happy at the end of the day.

2. Drafting

Once the scope and timetable has been agreed, your project will be drafted in house or outsourced (as required) to detail all steel elements into a 3D model which will accurately represent your project. On refurbishments, surveying may be requested to ascertain constructed measurements.

3. RFI Process

Any abnormalities or ambiguities in the project will be questioned and alternatives may be sought, this includes missing information and/or discrepancies between architectural and structural drawings.

4. Sign Off

Drawings will be submitted for approval and will form the blueprint for both the fabrication and erection of your project. Once approval has been granted, your project will be installed exactly to the drawings.

5. Installation

At the pre-determined install date, an experienced rigging team (outsourced or internal—resource dependant) will erect your project in a methodical and safer manner.

6. Final Inspection and Handover

At the completion of your job, the project manager will discuss with you any final issues that may have arisen and will hand over your project to the next trade.

7. Warranty

At the completion of your job, warranty manuals will be provided guaranteeing workmanship for twelve months.
